We’re holding a workshop on weaving colorful fishing nets!
【Date and Time】June 7 (Sat) to June 9 (Mon) 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
※Participants may arrive late or leave early within these hours
【Location】Hiketa Fishing Village Center (2661-44 Hiketa, Higashikagawa City)
From the spring session of the art festival, fishing nets woven on the islands become artworks, coloring Takamatsu Port. These colorful pieces send off those heading to the islands and serve as landmarks on the return journey, connecting people to people, and the sea to the islands. For the summer session, new production will take place along the coast. Combining the efforts of many, we will create six enormous fishing nets (8m x 4m). Fishermen, of course, and all residents of Higashikagawa City, please join us!

※Works completed during the workshops will be displayed at Takamatsu Port during the art festival period.
※Media coverage (newspapers, TV, etc.) may be present on the day.
