Originally a sake brewery, the Kasaya Residence serves as the venue for this work, inspired by the surrounding glove factories and soy sauce factories. ✨ The moment you enter, a fantastical space unfolds before you.
Starting with the welcoming artwork, the mysterious colorful lights in the back pique your interest!
An open cylindrical barrel is embedded in the floor, illuminated from within and covered with reinforced glass at the top. Who would have thought a barrel could undergo such a transformation…! Artist Raqs Media Collective states that through this work, they are making visible the “implicit process” of fermentation.✨
Upon closer inspection of the mysterious circular light, the textures of the microbial world rendered in paint and printmaking emerge😮
Gazing at the colorful lights that appear, you’ll want to forget the outside world and enjoy a relaxed moment☺
As the images change, every single moment is a photo opportunity📷✨
The Kasaya Residence had been reborn as a large social space, perfect for enjoying alone or with a group🎵
